In Prague, his classes are very popular, both among students and among the public, who fill their capacity to the brim. The full-day bookbinding course at Bezalel Academy was not an exeption. Not only students but also some graduates took part in it. There was a friendly atmosphere in the sunlit room overlooking the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the brand new Bezalel Academy building. Jan Hybner showed his short movies about papermaking and binding, which he shot on his doctoral trip to China. He talked about the history of individual book blocks that were also part of the workshop. The outcome was for everyone to master basic approaches and techniques that they usually do not encounter during their studies. They have also made several sketchbooks and pads in which they can continue to draw and write down their ideas.
