FORM FOLLOWS MATERIAL
Form follows material. The aim of the project was to design a production process and use it to create a functional prototype. The aesthetics of the final product were to be defined by the process - not the other way around. Students experimented with materials and their properties and looked at various ways to form them. The focus was on low-tech methods where they could construct their our own tools or simple "machinery". The production method had to be financial accesible and eco-sensible.
