Competition Best in Design 2019

UMPRUM students were successful in the Best in Design competition. Tomáš Chludil from Industrial Design Studio won the first place in the Industrial Design category for designing autonomous trams for URBI in Prague. In the Communication Design category, Kateřina Šuterová from the Studio of Graphic Design and Visual Communication won second place for the redesign of the Prague Philharmonia and the third place for Michael Beneš for the visual style of the NOZIB Brewery. The second place in the Fashion Design category was awarded to Sara Matysová from the Studio of Textile Design for the Hydrocollection Swimwear collection. The third place in the Product Design category was Natálie Constantinová from the Industrial Design Studio with Perfume Difuzers.


Best in Design is an international competition for young designers. Both individuals and collective groups up to the age of 30 can enter the competition. In addition to awards in four categories - Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Design and Communication Design, the Best in Design Award is also awarded. The contest takes place within Zlín Design Week.
