DUNA: Adaptus: POS
Opening: December 19th at 7 p.m.
Duration: December 20th - January 19th
NIKA Gallery, Metro B Karlovo náměstí hall (direction Palackého náměstí)
The discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 system marked a breakthrough in genetic engineering and brought new possibilities for changes in the DNA of living organisms, humans included. DUNA group formed by Lenka Balounová, Ladislav Kyllar and František Svatoš follows this discovery and presents a social game of the future called ADAPTUS allowing its users a variety of physical mutations. NIKA Gallery then becomes an advertising display promoting this game.
Homo sapiens used both simple and more complex tools, but still limited in nature. That is until the game had changed, however. Homo sapiens sapiens invented a tool intended for the change of oneself, a tool that enables the biohacking of its own genetic code. Find your POS and try game with non-human playable character. Change your point of view. Play with ADAPTUS. Games, Critical Play, and the Environmental of non Humanities.
