Before the opening of ARTSEMESTR, UMPRUM basically runs non-stop. All visitors can enjoy the night-time atmosphere and without worrying about critique day or about thesis finals. UMPRUM will be part of the Prague Museum Night for the eleventh time and as always there will be much to look forward to.

The main part of the program, as every year, is a large school exhibition of the final and semester works of students of UMPRUM ARTSEMESTR summer 2019. This very multicoloured exhibition project with various assignments will be possible to see literally from the ground floor all the way to the attic and will present a total of 24 studios. For those who do not want to wander around ARTSEMESTR and are interested in additional information, there are newly prepared guided tours with commentary.

On the occasion of the Prague Museum Night, the exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the Studio of Ceramics and Porcelain Výpal is also open to the public for the first time in the UM Gallery. It will present a selection of contemporary students who, in their work, respond to the long history and work of former studio heads.

During the evening, one will also be able to visit the UMPRUM library and see a number of interesting books in its collection. Even the smallest of visitors will find their way, there will be a program for children in the library as well as a creative workshop in the Bookbinding studio. With our lecturers, during the workshop, they will learn how to make a surprise flip book that turns various parts of sheets of paper into numerous stories. If all that running around and crafting makes you tired, you can sit in the cinema at the Studio of Film and TV Graphics and view their best selection of works.

UMPRUM will live on even in the night this summer.
