QS World University Rankings ranks the top-level universities all around the world. This rankings system is designed to help students choose the best college based on objective criteria. Schools are evaluated based on four criteria. The first two represent references of academics, which this year 83 thousand participated in the evaluation, as well as employers, which were evaluated by 42 thousand. Other criteria are based on the responses of university research activities.
Art and design are one of 48 areas in which this assessment is taking place. The Royal College of Art in London regularly ranks in the top ranking, with US colleges such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Parsons School of Design.
