Each semester, the UMPRUM Visiting Artist Studio invites an established international artist to teach a specific course at UMPRUM. The class aims at bringing in as diverse a portfolio as possible to reflect the plurality of contemporary artistic practices. The program has been established in 2018 as part of the Fine Arts Department of UMPRUM. It is primarily reserved to Fine Art students but stays open to the students of other departments of UMPRUM and other Art schools. Students of the bachelor, master and PhD programs can enroll. The PhD projects of the Visiting Artist Studio are supervised by Sláva Sobotovičová who co-teaches the class along with the invited Visiting Artists.
