Project Milestones
The HR Excellence in Research certification process
The HR Excellence in Research project runs in several consecutive phases that lead to obtaining and subsequently renewing the HR Award.
1. Initiation phase
(August 2025 – 2026 | approx. 12 months | currently underway)
- Signing of the institutional commitment to the European Charter for Researchers (Endorsement Letter).
- Questionnaire survey among staff.
- Appointment of the project's Steering Committee and Working Group.
- Analysis of the current state (GAP analysis and OTM-R checklist)
- comparison of internal documents and the school's actual operation with the requirements of the European Commission
- discussions with staff Preparation of the Action Plan based on the results of the analysis and staff input.
- Submission of the application for the HR Excellence in Research award.
2. Implementation phase
(approx. 2 years)
- Implementation of the measures from the Action Plan (revision of internal regulations, development of HR processes, educational workshops and other supporting activities).
- Ongoing evaluation of the project's progress and preparation for the European Commission's assessment (Interim Assessment).
- Ensuring the long-term sustainability of the adopted measures.
3. Award renewal phase
(approx. every 3 years)
- Review and update of the Action Plan.
- Preparation for renewal of the HR Excellence in Research Award.
- Final evaluation of the results achieved.
HR Excellence in Research represents a long-term cycle of improving the working environment and developing HR processes across the entire university.
