Apply for MA Program in English

Application proces 

 

Your master´s degree program application must contain the following documents:

  • your CV with relevant information about your professional history
  • a letter of intent – at least 1 page in English
  • a portfolio containing your own pieces of work related to the area of studies selected - at least 10 examples
  • a recommendation letter
  • copies of your BA diploma and Diploma Supplement/Transcript of Records translated to English (if you are in the final year of your undergraduate program studies and you don´t have the BA diploma yet, you can submit a confirmation of your university studies instead)  
  • proof of your capability of studying in English, i.e. a language certificate, mininum language level: B2 (CEFR) / 6.0 (IELTS), FCE (CE), TOEFL 50 (if you don´t have an official proof of language proficiency by the appllicaton deadline, you may use any document (issued by your university, language school, etc.proving that your level of English is at least B2; however, you will be required to submit an official language certicate in case you are nominated for admission. 

All the above mentioned documents need to be uploaded to the electronic application. Your portfolio should be in PDF format, and it can be up to 100MB in size. All other documents should not be bigger than 2MB; your motivation letter and CV should be in PDF format, a copy of your diploma, language certificate and recommendation letter can be in PDF, JPG, PNG.  

If you need to submit a larger file (such as videos, audios, photography series, etc.), please use one of the freely available platforms such as Youtube, SoundCloud, Vimeo, Google disc, Dropbox or your own website and include the links in the PDF portfolio. Always make sure that the links work. 

Deadline _ October 2026 intake

Applications must be submitted by 31st March 2026.

We have started accepting electronic applications from 9th February 2026.

The results of the first round of the admission process will be known by April 21st. The second round (i.e. an online interview) should take place between April 21st and May 8th 2026.

Application fee

50 EUR (no need to panic if you don´t see that your application has been paid for in the electronic system; it usually takes 3 to 5 days to process the payment after you make it. We apologize for any inconvenience caused; the payment can arrive a few days after the application deadline).

Tuition fee

89 000 CZK per semester (approx. 3650 EUR)

(there are four semesters in total within the two-year program; six semesters in a three-year architecture program)

APPLICATION

Applicants to the master´s degree program can only apply by submitting an electronic application by March 31st. It is only possible to apply for one studio in one application.

The electronic application platform UMPRUM uses is very user-friendly and easily guides you through the process of submitting your application without the need to study any instructions beforehand. However, If you wanted to make sure which steps to take, see the pdf manual below
