Internships
At the end of the 1st to 3rd semesters of the follow-on master's program, students are required to complete a professional conservation-restoration internships.
Each takes three weeks of intensive practice in a memory institution, at a specialized workplace, or as part of a conservation-restoration project led by an external specialist/practical instructor. The locations of the professional practice are chosen by students. The assignment and planned output are consulted in advance with the studio supervisor or head of the studio.
Focus of specialized internships:
Intership 1: Practical experience of the operation of a museum or memory institution in connection with the protection and care of collection items, their preservation and use, and heritage conservation procedures;
Internship 2: Practical training - independent conservation-restoration intervention on an original object of applied art according to the assignment of the responsible employee of the memory institution/professional conservator-restorer;
Internship 3: Practical training - Independent conservation-restoration intervention on an original object of applied art according to the assignment of the responsible employee of the memory institution/professional conservator-restorer with a direct connection to the student's studio conservation-restoration project (the output of the specialized professional practice is part of the semester work).
