ᴄᴏᴏʀᴅɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ ꜱᴄᴜʟᴘᴛᴜʀᴀʟ ʀᴇꜱᴘᴏɴꜱᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴀ ɴᴇᴡ ꜱᴛɪᴍᴜʟᴜꜱ represents a conceptual framework through which we examine mechanisms of survival and strategies for responding to conditions of constant change. It is based on the idea of an organism, a body, or a community that is compelled to continuously react to new situations and disruptions of equilibrium. What was once considered an exceptional state of crisis is gradually becoming an everyday norm - and with it, are our patterns of response also changing?
Throughout the semester, we explored various forms of survival: from the material strategies of contemporary art to mental attitudes and modes of social organization. We investigated the relationships between care and control, freedom and systems, proximity and isolation, uncertainty and the need for stability. The exhibition can be understood as a collection of responses and shared tools that emerge within an environment shaped by experience, pressure, and transformation—an environment in which adaptation is not merely the ability to “adjust,” but also a form of resistance, persistence, or conscious distance.
