12. 3. – 6. 5. 2026
UMPRUM Technology Center, entrance hall, Mikulandská 5, Prague 1
Opening: March 11, 2026, 6 p.m.
Hana Kubrichtová, a student of Studio of Fine Arts IV, will present her project Time flies, but I still hope for the best for us in a lightbox in the hall of the TC on Mikulandská Street. The work conveys a quiet inner conflict, in which the joy of the present moment is mixed with fatigue and insecurity. It responds to the theme of the entire exhibition cycle, for which the LIV curatorial team decided to focus on the shared feeling of uncertainty in our generation.
Time flies, but I still hope for the best for us
This semester, Galerie LIV is exploring the theme of shared uncertainty among our generation. The common question of what our plans and ambitions are for the future collides with the reality of multiple crises and existential fears. The situation can paralyze us to such an extent that we question whether it makes sense to plan for the future at all. Hana Kubrichtová's work Time flies, but I still hope for the best for us looks at this issue through an intimate testimony. Her work invites ambivalent reading and interpretation. It combines the positive emotions of the momentary experience of summer days with inner turmoil. This takes place against the backdrop of this carefree moment, marked by psychological uncertainty and fatigue.
Hana Kubrichtová works with photography and its post-production. In her work, she visualizes experiences based on inner feelings, often stemming from psychotherapy, perception of her own physicality, and identity. She completed her bachelor's degree at the Studio of Applied Photography at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. She is now continuing her studies at the Studio of Fine Arts IV at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
