description of the project:

BIP: DISCLOSE INVISIBLE (an AR Xperience)
We are offering a workshop that explores the intersections between performance, scenography, and virtual worlds. As an extension of the creation Futur[s], by and with IF Compagnie (Isis Fahmy and Benoit Renaudin), which adapts Yannis La Macchia's graphic novel Naturellement into a mixed reality performance, participants will be invited to manipulate 3D in unconventional ways: using humble materials, improvised gestures, hybrid models, and repurposed stage objects.

The mixed reality headset (MetaQuest 3S) will become a space for dramaturgical experimentation where bodies and virtual environments intersect.

Participants will be encouraged to imagine performative devices and rethink space.

We will use a variety of free and open-source tools, such as Blender and Unity, and photogrammetry software to create performances where the virtual and the real intersect.

This workshop will explore stage writing, immersive performance, and the design of mixed reality spaces, addressing contemporary issues in augmented theater and augmented performance. Participants will design possible levels of interaction between audience members and performers based on chosen virtual elements and clarify their staging intentions.

To provide a research focus, we propose structuring this workshop around the concept of "making visible," exploring both societal issues and the visual challenges of revelation through digital technologies.

Skills in 3D modeling (Blender) are a plus but not required. While this workshop is geared towards designers and artists, a confident and uninhibited technical curiosity is expected.

Workshop offered by the Bachelor of Graphic Design at Lycée Bréquigny November 2-6, 2026, in Rennes, France.

The BIP offers 6 or more student places per institution.
