The international summer school Mlha: School of Ecological Imagination offers practical engagement with contemporary art, critical pedagogy, and systemic and ecological thinking. Through experiential educational methods and body-based work, it focuses on developing ecological imagination—the capacity to be a critical and responsible part of the network of more-than-human relationships—with the intention to co-create a more just world.
The summer school is intended for anyone who believes in the transformative potential of artistic practice and is interested in how it can be meaningfully applied in ecology-focused education. The five-day programme, led by visual artist and educator Eva Kotáťková, theorist of visual culture and ecofeminist Lenka Vráblíková and invited guests will take place at Kafkárna: Center for Art and Ecology at UMPRUM from August 24 to 28, 2026. The working language of the summer school is English. For more information about the programme, tutors, and registration, follow this link.
