Power of Identity II at BFGU Fashion Week

After the Power of Identity II project was displayed - the Memory of Fashion Message in London and MBPFW, the collection was inspired by the 100th Anniversary of Czechoslovakia and by Czech National History, the project is being presented in Tokyo. Presenting in Tokyo is not a novelty for the students of Liběna Rochová, the head of the Studio of Fashion and Footwear Design. They have the opportunity to present their designs at the prestigious fashion event of BFGU Fashion Week for the third time. With great success at the beginning of 2018, they launched their first collection Power of Identity dedicated to the establishment of the Czech Republic, this success now links to the presentation of their latest designs in this long-term project.

Power of Identity: Memory Fashion Message consists of twelve collections of unique designs inspired by Czech culture, but at the same time reflects current international trends. All of these designs are artistically and technologically outstandingly well-crafted artifacts. In cooperation with important Czech manufacturers such as Baťa and Preciosa, developed comprehensive collections of clothing, footwear, and accessories, which extract quintessential craft, culture and artistic legacy from Czech society. Students of the studio collaborated directly in the production at large industrial companies, especially with Kallisté the prestigious Italian shoe factory in Venice. Inspiration was drawn exclusively from Czech culture so that the result represents an artistically and technologically competitive product within the international market. During the entire time, the created collections were consulted with experts on national culture, art, and academics dealing with Czech culture.
