Peng Hsiung – A Kafkaesque Journey Through Czech Illustrations

Peng Hsiung, a student of the Illustration and Graphics Studio at UMPRUM in the Visual Arts program, has prepared a lecture and exhibition in his home country of Taiwan reflecting his studies at UMPRUM. The event will also present works by some of his Czech classmates.

Peng Hsiung – A Kafkaesque Journey Through Czech Illustrations

At the upcoming event “A Kafkaesque Journey Through Czech Illustrations,” Peng Hsiung will introduce his studies at UMPRUM and explain how the Czech environment has influenced his work as an illustrator. He will also share his experiences from an Erasmus internship in Italy, exhibitions in Kyoto, Japan, and his collaboration with the Prague magazine Hobulet.

In collaboration with his classmates from the Illustration and Graphics Studio and the bookstore and small publishing house Xao, they have prepared a small presentation of the studio’s work.

The event will feature works by current students and graduates, including Kotone Utsunomiya, Laura Hedervári, Tereza Šiklová, Barbora Satranská, Františka Iblová, Anna Neumann, Klára Zahrádková, Finn Stiller, Sarah Paldánová, Jakub Plachý, Jantra Šímová, Lucie Lučanská, Fany Loubat, Peng Hsiung Hsu, and the collective book of the UMPRUM Illustration and Graphics Studio, Eintopf.
