Diploma and Bachelor´s Works 2025 is an exhibition presenting the final projects of all studios at UMPRUM, and has become a well-established annual tradition. This year again offers a unique opportunity to see firsthand how this year’s graduates have developed during their studies, how they approach topics that resonate with them, and how they respond to these themes through their work.
The exhibition can be seen as a symbolic gateway into the next stage of creative development. It not only shows how our art school nurtures talent, craftsmanship, the ability to work independently and collaborate, but also how it encourages students to engage with current issues, raise important questions, and propose meaningful solutions. Bachelor´s Works can be viewed as confirmation that the graduates are ready to embark on their own creative paths and have something valuable to offer society.
“We evaluate the effort our students invest in their creative work and how they perceive the world around them. That’s why we award a prize each year for the best diploma project. It is always a very difficult decision. We value not only the high quality of execution, but also originality and the broader societal impact,” says Professor Jindřich Vybíral, Rector of UMPRUM, who has been awarding the “UMPRUM Rector’s Prize” since 2019. This year, for the first time, the “No Limits Prize” will also be awarded by the company Unlimit DB s.r.o., recognizing an outstanding diploma project in the field of design and architecture. The winning projects will be selected after the exhibition opens.
The Diploma and Bachelor´s Works 2025 exhibition is this year held in both UMPRUM buildings. Bachelor’s projects are installed in the historic UMPRUM building at Jana Palach Square, while the Technology Center of UMPRUM is dedicated to the diploma projects. All exhibitions are open until Friday, June 27th.
