Latitude Longitude - UMPRUM & HEAD

Conceived as a diptych, this joint project unfolds in two chapters: students from both institutions will first meet and collaborate in the Czech Republic in November 2025, before reuniting in Switzerland in April 2026.

Each location defines the research subject. In the first chapter, students will collectively explore the narratives surrounding Mount Sněžka, located on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. Stories, observations, and tangible findings gathered on site will serve as source material for visual experimentation, culminating in a black-and-white poster series to be exhibited at Holešovická Šachta in Prague.

The river Saône is the protagonist of the second part of the project, particularly its passage through Fleurville, in the Burgundy region of France, where students will reside at the "Domaine de la Distylerie", a former distillery now transformed into an artist residency.

Finally, the aim is to materialise the collaboration between students in a zine that presents their anatomy of both places. This publication will be presented at the P.A.G.E.S Print and Art Book Fair in Geneva in May 2026.
