Summer 2026
We are completing the strategic documents

In cooperation with the Steering Committee and the Working Group, we are finalising the HR strategy, the GAP analysis and the Action Plan, which are based on the results of the questionnaire survey, the analysis of internal documents and discussions with staff. These documents set the priorities for developing the working environment at UMPRUM for the next two years, and once approved they will be submitted to the European Commission as part of the application for the HR Excellence in Research award.

Spring 2026
Analysis and follow-up discussions

We are sharing the questionnaire results with staff and using them as a basis for follow-up discussions. At the same time, an analysis of internal documents is underway, aimed at obtaining a comprehensive picture of how the school operates and identifying areas for further development (GAP analysis).

Winter 2025–2026
Questionnaire survey among staff

139 of you took part in the questionnaire survey on working conditions (a response rate of 57.4%). This gives us a clear picture of our strengths and the areas we need to work on. The results serve as one of the inputs for the analysis of the current state and the preparation of the Action Plan for the HR Excellence in Research project.

During this period we are also formally establishing the Steering Committee and the Working Group of the HR Excellence in Research project.

End of summer 2025
UMPRUM joined the HR Excellence in Research initiative

On 28 August 2025, UMPRUM subscribed to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers by signing an institutional commitment (Endorsement Letter). The European Commission subsequently confirmed the school's participation by issuing a Commitment Letter, and the school thus began the process leading to the HR Excellence in Research award.
