Anna Jožová, a student of the Glass Studio at UMPRUM, and Marieta Tedenacová, a recent graduate of the studio, are presenting at The Italian Glass Weeks. Anna is exhibiting her LAVA and KAIRO vases in the Mixing materials - glass, ceramic, plants exhibition. Marieta presents her thesis Holos in the Hub under 35 section.

The Italian Glass Weeks present and promote glass in Italy at a national and international level. This time they take place during September in Milan and Venice and their programme includes not only a wide range of exhibitions but also other presentations and events for visitors, companies and the consumer public. The Italian Glass Weeks are part of the official programme of the International Year of Glass 2022.

Marieta Tedenacová presents her diploma project HOLOS. It is a holographic stained glass dealing with the theme of the creation of the world. Her design was created in collaboration with artificial intelligence. The morphology of the stained glass is based on Gothic rosettes and Art Nouveau floral ornamentation and thus refers to the third day of the creation of the world according to the Bible, when the first herbs, seeds, and fruits were created.

Anna Jožová is presenting her red LAVA vases, which are based on the eventuality of extinction caused by a natural disaster. The appearance of the object stems from a volcanic eruption, referring to the folly of the inhabitants of the city of Pompeii, which they unwisely built near the volcano. The vases combine two layers of glass and copper wire. Flowing through the modelled wire gives the shape a dynamic appearance. The second artefact on display are the KAIRO "fossils" vases, which represent unidentifiable artefacts of a lost civilisation that were wiped out by a sudden change associated with the loss of their natural habitat.
