HR Excellence in Research (HR Award)

HR Excellence in Research (HR Award)

Freedom to create, space to grow.

The HR Award is a tool for us to state openly what works at our school and what we want to improve.

We are developing UMPRUM as a university open to the world – an environment where researchers have quality conditions for their work and a clear prospect of professional growth.

prof. PhDr. et PaedDr. Jindřich Vybíral, DSc.,
  Rector of UMPRUM

HR Excellence in Research is a European certification that helps universities to systematically improve researchers' working conditions and to develop transparent HR processes.

HR Excellence in Research at UMPRUM

UMPRUM joined the HR Excellence in Research initiative by signing an institutional commitment to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers. In doing so, the university has committed itself to systematically developing the working environment for researchers and to gradually introducing measures in the areas of transparent recruitment, career development and research support.

UMPRUM is currently going through the initiation phase of the project, within which it is preparing an analysis of the current state (GAP analysis) and a draft Action Plan.

Benefits of HR Excellence in Research

The HR Award offers researchers and staff, in particular:

  • transparent and open recruitment of researchers (OTM-R)
  • clearer conditions for career development and professional growth
  • a better working environment and support for research and mobility
  • a more open and international academic environment
  • greater staff involvement in the university's development
