‘’Future Front Row was born from a desire to make digital fashion more tangible: to experience a fashion show with pieces that defy the physical world. This edition brought the digital and the physical together in a way we’ve never seen before.’’ states Isabelle Udo, digital artist and founder of Future Front Row.

Supported by experts from the FashionTEX programme and Future Front Row, the students worked with emerging technologies, including CLO 3D (digital fashion software), 3D printing, and laser cutting to reimagine how fashion can be presented in more innovative, sustainable, and immersive ways. In addition to creating a digital twin of their design, each student was also tasked with producing a physical garment, either complementary to or in creative dialogue with its digital counterpart, encouraging deeper storytelling and redefining the creative narratives behind their work.

The Amsterdam Fashion Academy organised and hosted the show in Amsterdam, contributing academic depth to the FashionTEX project through specialised CLO 3D masterclasses and extensive industry connections. As Cristiano Carciani, Director of the Amsterdam Fashion Academy, explains: “This project reflects our Academy’s mission of preparing the next generation for a future that is already taking shape. Technology and craftsmanship are not opposites, they enhance one another. Our students demonstrated how digital tools can expand the boundaries of fashion.”

More than 400 guests, including industry leaders, digital creators, educators, and alumni, gathered to witness this bold vision. Among them was Kristina Szasz, Senior C-level Executive across luxury and lifestyle, Advisory Board Member, and Global Jury Member, who praised the show’s groundbreaking presentation: “The designs were almost floating on the runway in an ethereal and surreal way. It was magical to witness.”
