UMPRUM continues its collaboration on the FashionTex project. At the turn of August and September, the Academy will take part in the FashionTEX Festival Riga, where it will be represented at the two-week FashionTex Makerspace Riga creative workshop by two talented students: Kateřina Puchmertlová from the Studio of Fashion and Footwear Design and Alžběta Valentová from the Studio of Fashion Design.

As part of the FashionTex Makerspace Riga project, they will create a physical garment together with its digital twin.
The world of fashion is becoming increasingly intertwined with digital environments. The aim of the project is to prepare our students for the realities of today's industry, where garments are designed not only for the physical world but also for digital environments such as virtual reality and computer games.
FashionTEX is a three-year international project that aims to build expertise and educate students in the field of digital fashion at fashion universities. The fashion industry increasingly relies on digital fashion throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design to sales, while the technologies involved continue to evolve rapidly. These technologies are also finding applications across a growing range of other industries.
