Singsong: We that swarm among the living and the dead

Přednáška vychází z probíhajícího výzkumu v Centre for Art and the Political Imaginary, včetně projektů „Mapping the Political Imaginary“ a „We that swarm among the living and the dead“, a zabývá se různými způsoby, jimiž jsou v rámci sdílených společenských a politických představ utvářeny vztahy mezi živými a mrtvými. Zaměří se na (i) využití pojmu imaginária ve výzkumu; (ii) specifickou otázku sdílených společenských a politických představ o sounáležitosti živých a mrtvých; a (iii) zhmotňování těchto představ v písních a obrazech.

Singsong: We that swarm among the living and the dead

Based on ongoing research at the Centre for Art and the Political Imaginary including “Mapping the Political Imaginary” and “We that swarm among the living and the dead”, this presentation considers the different ways in which relations between the living and the dead are constructed within social and political imaginaries. The talk will address (i) the usages of the imaginary as a research construct; (ii) the specific question of social and political imaginaries of the co-belonging of the living and the dead; and (iii) the materialisation of these imaginaries in songs and images.
