Head and Assistant of the Studio of Fine Arts III (Art and Digital Technology)

Rector of the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague, nám. Jana Palacha 80, announces under Section 77 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts and the valid internal regulations on the selection procedure for academic staff a selection procedure for the position of academic staff:

Head and Assistant of the Studio of Fine Arts III (Art and Digital Technology).

 

As part of the institutional development strategy, the Academy redefines the Fine Art Studio III with an emphasis on contemporary digital technologies and their experimental application. We are seeking candidates who are capable of reflecting rapidly evolving technologies and the challenges associated with them, expanding the spectrum of art as well as the notion of public and virtual space. The studio programme is also intended to develop a critical reflection on issues of sustainability and ethical aspects of digital technology development.

 

Requested Credentials:

- Post-gradual (at least a Master's degree) in the field;

- A significant track record in artistic practice;

- Communication strategy for the studio teaching conducted in Czech and English (proof of language efficiency or proposed measures assuring that the bilingual standard is met);

- Teaching experience welcome;

 - Integrity.

 

We are kindly asking the candidates to submit a written application with the following attachments:

- Diploma copies of the highest education and/or scientific degrees attained;

- Structured curriculum vitae;

- Proposal of studio programme (to be submitted by the applicant for the position of Head of the studio);

- Motivation letter;

- Portfolio (electronic);

- Copies of awards and/or diplomas demonstrating success on the international and domestic artistic scene;     

- Evidence of previous artistic experience and/or teaching experience;

- Contact details of the candidate.

By submitting an application to the selection procedure, the candidate agrees to provide personal data for archiving purposes for a period of 3 years.

 

Selection procedure details:

 

The qualifications of the candidates/applicants will be assessed by an expert committee appointed by the Rector on the basis of the documents submitted and the public lecture that is part of the procedure. The final results of the selection procedure will be communicated to all candidates within 14 days after the end of the selection procedure.  The date of the selection procedure will be published on the usual channels.
