Přednáška athénského kurátora, kunsthistorika a umělce Alexiose Papazachariase. Zajímá se o způsoby klasifikace, pojmy politického a politicky nekorektního, stejně tak jako geometrii, matematiku a fyziku jako metodiku přístupu k umění a společenským vědám.

Alexios Papazacharias (žije v Athénách) je kurátor, kunsthistorik a umělec. Společně s Gabi Scardi byl kurátorem řeckého pavilonu 56. ročníku La Biennale di Venezia (2015). Jako kurátor organizoval a podílel se na výstavách v řeckých muzeích a institucích jako například v Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art v Soluni, Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki v Soluni, Museum Alex Mylona – MMCA v Athénách Athens, Byzantine and Christian Museum a Benaki Museum v Athénách. Jako kurátor spolupracoval s German Historical Museum na výstavě Desire for Freedom pořádané u příležitosti 30. ročníku Council of Europe Art Exhibition. Společně s umělkyní Georgiou Sagri provozuje výstavní prostor Hyle v Athénách.

Pořádá Are a UMPRUM v Praze za podpory Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy ČR, Ministerstva kultury ČR, Magistrátu hl. města Prahy, Francouzského institutu a Goethe-Institutu v Praze. Poděkování The Emblem Hotel.

A talk by Athens-based curator, art historian and artist Alexios Papazacharias. His main interests encompass ways of classification, the notion of the political and the politically incorrect as well as geometry, mathematics and physics as methodologies for approaching art and the social sciences.

Alexios Papazacharias (live in Athens) is a curator, art historian and artist. He curated the Greek Pavilion with Gabi Scardi for the 56^th edition of La Biennale di Venezia (2015). He has curated and co-curated several shows for Greek museums and institutions at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, Archaeological Museum in Thessaloniki, Museum Alex Mylona – MMCA in Athens, Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens, and Benaki Museum in Athens, among others. He collaborated with the German Historical Museum as a curator for the project Desire for Freedom on the occasion of the 30^th Council of Europe Art Exhibition. Together with artist Georgia Sagri, he also runs the exhibition space Hyle in Athens.
