Newyorský kritik a kurátor Fionn Meade představí své poslední tři výstavní projekty. výstavy, které realizoval ve SculptureCenter na Long Island City v New Yorku, kde působil jako kurátor. Dále ukáže jeho současnější kurátorské projekty a publikace.
Fionn Meade je kritik a kurátor žijící v New Yorku. Působil jako kurátor ve SculptureCenter v New Yorku, kde mezi jeho poslední projekty patří Scene, Hold, Ballast s Davidem Maljkovicem a Lucy Skaer; Time Again s Rachel Harrison, Rosemarie Trockel, Matthew Buckinghamem, Laure Prouvost, Ulem Hohnem, Rosalind Nashashibi a Moyrou Davey; přehlídka nového sochařství v New Yorku Knight’s Move a Leopards in the Temple s Lotharem Baumgartenem, DAS INSTITUTem, João Maria Gusmãoem, Pedrem Paivou a Lucy Skaer. /// Z jeho dalších nedávných kurátorských projektů můžeme zmínit The Assistants v David Kordansky Gallery v Los Angeles, After Images v belgickém Židovském muzeu a projekt Nachleben v newyorském Goethe Institutu (společně s Lucy Raven), ve kterém rozvíjeli odkaz Abyho Warburga. /// Spolupracuje s časopisy Artforum, Bomb, Bidoun, Fillip Review, Mousse a Parkett. V poslední době napsal eseje mimo jiné o Nině Canell a Laure Prouvost, stejně jako o Uri Aranovi a Eladu Lassrym pro Kunsthalle Zurich (JRP/Ringier), Marku Morrisroe pro Fotomuseum Winterthur (JRP/Ringier) nebo o Kerstin Brätsch a DAS INSTITUTu pro Parkett. Nedávno získal stipendium Arts Writer Grant od Nadace Andyho Warhola. Fionn Meade vyučuje magisterský program Vizuálních umění na Columbia University, kde také získal magisterský titul na studiu Kreativního psaní. Absolvoval magisterské studium v Centru pro kurátorská studia na Bard College.

New York based writer and curator Fionn Meade will present his exhibitions for SculptureCenter in Long Island City, New York, where he worked as a curator. He will also present his more recent curatorial projects and publications.
Fionn Meade is a writer and curator based in New York. Fionn Meade was curator at SculptureCenter, NY, where recent exhibitions include Scene, Hold, Ballast, with David Maljkovic and Lucy Skaer; Time Again, with Rachel Harrison, Rosemarie Trockel, Matthew Buckingham, Laure Prouvost, Ull Hohn, Rosalind Nashashibi, and Moyra Davey; Knight’s Move, a survey of new sculpture in New York; and Leopards in the Temple, with Lothar Baumgarten, DAS INSTITUT, João Maria Gusmão and Pedro Paiva, and Lucy Skaer. /// Additional recent curatorial projects include The Assistants at David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles, After Images at the Jewish Museum of Belgium, and Nachleben, co-organized with Lucy Raven at Goethe Institut, NY, which engaged Aby Warburg’s thinking. /// His writing appears in Artforum, Bomb, Bidoun, Fillip Review, Mousse, and Parkett. Recent writing also includes essays on Nina Canell and Laure Prouvost, as well as Uri Aran and Elad Lassry for the Kunsthalle Zurich (JRP/Ringier), Mark Morrisroe for the Fotomuseum Winterthur (JRP/Ringier), and Kerstin Brätsch and DAS INSTITUT for Parkett. He was a recent recipient of an Arts Writer Grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation, and he teaches in the MFA program in Visual Arts at Columbia University. He holds an MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, and and MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University.
