Altán Klamovka autory inspiroval silnou atmosférou, architektonickou podobou a blízkým parkem.
Okolní příroda konkrétně květena autory zaujala a pojali ideu rozvíjet příběh květiny prostřednictvím jejího uchování a dalšího zkoumání v herbáři.

Anna Ročňová and Jan Boháč met at the Sculpture Studio, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Both are already relatively well-known artists. They held a joint exhibition at Prague’s Pavilion in 2012. Their production is characterised by an interest in spectacular installations in which they exploit the full potential of the material and its visual aspects. They often reflect their personal feelings and experiences in intermedial works which tend to be narrative. They relay their messages in descriptive but sometimes also in abstract sculptural forms. The very oscillation between descriptiveness and abstraction imbues their objects with an air of mystery.
Altán Klamovka inspired the artists with its charged atmosphere, architectural style, and the nearby park. Closeness to nature is very important for Anna and together with poetry it underpins her work. The romantic attitude is augmented in her by an interest in experiment and intuition. As for Jan, he likes to proceed from personal experiences which he transmutes to art forms that have a potential for triggering associations.
Exhibition project Herbarium is based on a reflection of the gallery’s environs. Surrounding nature, and more particularly flora, captivated the artists and they hit upon the idea of developing the story of a flower through its preservation and further exploration in a herbarium. Its separation from nature and archiving, together with a reference to the aesthetics of old herbaria, suggested to the artists the idea of creating a herbarium balancing on a boundary between architecture and object. Architecture in architecture, such is the transformation of the summerhouse interior, which suggested to the artists in the exterior the chess piece of the King, who stayed forlorn on the chessboard, or a miniature castle. In the end they entertained the notion and fascination of a change in the interior and they created a three-dimensional herbarium which one can enter and which is cloaked in the mystery of tales of flowers concealing in their dried form, under transparent paper, their perfection and beauty.
